TO ORDER COMPLETE SYSTEM YOU NEED:
1. Helm Pump No. 1250V or 1275V (See Steering System Selection). 5. Hydraulic Oil (DEXTRON ATF) Quart. Average Single Station
2. Choice of cylinder (See Steering System Selection). System requires 3 quarts. See Fig. 7977.
3. 1/2" or 5/8" copper tubing (See Fig. 3588).* 6. Fittings Kit – 1/2" or 5/8".
4. 3/4" taper Steering Wheel.
* Tubing – Model 1250V – Use 1/2" O.D. soft refrigeration copper tubing when maximum run (one line) is less than 40'. On longer runs, HYDRAULIC STEERING
install 5/8" O.D. copper tubing. Wall thickness .032". Model 1275V – Always use 5/8" O.D. copper tubing. Do not install any type of rubber
hose as it swells and will result in spongy, sticky steering. On short runs (under 15') special nylon core tubing can be substituted for copper tubing.
