This all fiberglass exhaust muffler is very effective in reducing engine exhaust noise, as well as preventing water return to the
exhaust manifold. Such properties are particularly important in engines which are installed near or below water line. Such installa-
tions are very common in sailing vessels or displacement hulls. The fire retardant Vernalift will not rust, corrode or deteriorate from
contact with exhaust gases. This type of horizontal Vernalift should be installed in a position equivalent to those as shown in the dia-
grams under Fig. 9291.
